And now for some Spring photographs...

These were at the nature reserve yesterday afternoon.  The frogspawn's been there about a week, but it's gradually being added to.  I'm really pleased with the primrose photograph - you can see the down on the base of the flower.  The snowdrops are just going over - this particular group of double ones is right down on the river bank, and was one of the first out.

Mark's on nights this week, but actually got up early enough yesterday afternoon to come down to the reserve and river with us.  So long as the pupz have a frisby they'll go anywhere - Lunil's looking particularly manic and husky-like in this shot.

The car was still blocked in when I got back yesterday, and the builders had packed up and gone home.  We tried to drag the sack away, but it's still far too heavy.  If they haven't moved it when I get home/Mark gets up later, we shall empty it onto the lane ourselves using the discarded wok as a scoop.  The trouble is the two parking spots are Debateable Lands, and the ownership is somewhat vague.  We have one by virtue of living along there longest, being nearest, and possession being nine-tenths of the law.  They're also off road, so nothing to do with the council.

Will try and track down Cassandra Clare's second book on the way home this afternoon.  I bought the first one as soon as it came out, having been a fan of her writing since I discovered her secret diaries ("Still not king"!) and the Draco Trilogy.  For some reason I've fallen out of the loop and not got the second yet, but I read 'City of Bones' again recently and want to catch up.  The third's out in the US now.

The golden orange yarn is now all plied up and was washed last night.  Very pretty.  I feel the need for something leafy in it, and will have a think over the weekend.
